Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone gets group chats and better photo sharing

Facebook Messenger fans on Windows Phone rejoice for the latest update, that already began rolling out to users last night, brings both performance improvements and some new features that are already found in the Android and iOS versions of the app.

Windows Phone users can now take advantage of the a  new photo sharing feature, which allows you to take and send a photo with just one tap without having to leave the app as well as a new photo gallery features that you can use to access all your photos stored on your phone.

For the data concious among its users Facebook Messenger is getting smarter with frequently used images, such as stickers, now being cached in the background making them faster to use and lighter on data consumption.

Along with the improvements in photo sharing, Facebook Messenger has also added the ability to have group chats with all your friends. As with most things on Windows Phone, for quick access to these group chats, you can also pin a Live Tile of them to your Start screen.
