When Nokia CEO Stephen Elop mentioned back in February that BBM would be coming to Windows Phones, little information on when this would be happening was given.

Windows Phone users will be happy to know that BlackBerry CEO John Chen has just announced that the popular instant messaging service will launch next month.

This will make Windows Phone the third mobile OS outside BlackBerry to get BBM, after it arrived on Android and iOS late last year.

It also gives Windows Phone users a wider choice of instant messaging apps to choose from after Facebook Messenger and Telegram made their debuts on the platform in recent months.
