Join Black Girls Code at its next Joburg event

Black Girls Code Johannesburg is set to host its 5th coding event in the city of gold next month, and is inviting everyone to join in, as well as the young girls who will be taking part in the event.

Black Girls Code is a programme started by Kimberly Bryant in the US to encourage girls of colour between the ages of seven and 17 to get involved in technology, computers and coding.

The theme of the day will be “Logical Thinking and Problem Solving”, where Hackety Hack, Scratch and Robot Turtles will be used for the coding practicals.

The event will take place on Saturday 5th July at Wits University. For more information or to sign up for the event, head over to the Black Girls Code Johannesburg page on Meetup.
