George Voros is a seasoned South African drummer, composer and author who has toured the world with some of the world’s most recognised artists. Voros is now embarking on his own project and is calling on the internet to help him realise his drumming dream.

Voros has launched a campaign on Indiegogo to help fund the production of his debut album called “Bach to Me”, which features music composed by classical musician Johann Sebastian Bach which has been fused with retro modernistic sounds.

“My intention to release a solo album of music that ignites my passion has been a burning desire for many years, which is now finally becoming a reality,” Voros says on his campaign page.

When Voros is not in the studio, he gives online drumming lessons via Skype. Anyone in South Africa (or anywhere really) can sign up through Voros’ site and choose which lesson they would like to participate in.

Voros’ campaign is still far from reaching its $4 000 goal. With just $158 raised so far and 17 days left before funding closes, his crowdfunding campaign will need a huge monetary injection. The good news, however, is that it’s a flexible funding campaign which means that even if Voros doesn’t reach his goal, he receive all the Indiegogo funds raised.
