Geekulcha’s Girls in ICT division is hosting a meetup this weekend and inviting all young women working in, or studying ICT, to join them.

Hosted by Girl Rising SA ambassador and Geekulcha “geek”, Hlulani Baloyi, the meet up will allow the group to engage and learn more about the ICT industry, develop different kinds of apps, improve their skills and create awareness about bridging the gender gap in ICT.

“The whole point is to have everybody creating their own portfolio which they use to demonstrate their skills,” Baloyi says.

The Geekulcha Girls in ICT meetup take place this Saturday, 21st June at the mLab headquarters in Pretoria, from 11am to 3pm.
