Enter your startup for the chance to attend Start Tel Aviv in Israel

Do you run a local tech startup in the web, mobile or cyber sectors? How would like you win the chance to jet off to one of the biggest startup festivals in the world to promote your business to international investors and mentors? Then enter the Start Tel Aviv South Africa Competition.

Start Tel Aviv is a global competition taking place between 13th and 19th September that brings together startups from 17 different countries around the world to compete for the chance to experience Tel Aviv’s startup ecosystem.

Microsoft is giving one South African startup the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the competition, where they’ll spend five days mingling with techies, investors, designers, artists, scientists, and cultural drivers from Israel and abroad, while taking part in workshops and lectures and pitching to potential investors. They’ll also get the chance to relax and tour the historic city of Jerusalem on the fifth day.

Judges for the Start Tel Aviv Competition include NicSocks founder Nicholas Haralambous, Stuff Magazine South Africa editor Toby Shapshak, Israeli ambassador to South Africa Arthur Lenk, Israeli Trade representative to South Africa Itai Melchior,  Microsoft South Africa’s marketing and operations director Nir Tenzer and deputy editor of Business Day Hilary Joffe.

You can submit your entry online by filling in the application form and sending a 30-second video on why your company should be picked for Start Tel Aviv to pr@pretoria.mfa.gov.il.
