How did Elon Musk, with just a bachelor’s degree in physics, learn enough about rockets to start and run the company that now has one of the contracts to resupply the International Space Station?

According to some it’s because Elon Musk is simply one of the most intelligent humans on the face of the planet. According to Jim Cantrell, Musk’s once partner in SpaceX, the reason that he has been so successful until now is because Musk cannot fathom ever failing in a venture.

Cantrell’s post on Quora is an interesting insight into the way the Elon Musk works and, best of all, it won’t take you more than five minutes to finish.

If you have some more time however, Cantrell’s insight into the history and reasons behind where the US aerospace industry, and as a result the space program, finds itself where it does today is also a fascinating read.
