Joburg to get giant consumer tech show

The Sandton Convention Centre will play host to the Business Connexion (BCX)  MyWorld of Tomorrow Africa (MWOT) tech expo and conference this October.

The MWOT expo and conference will give technology brands and businesses a platform to market themselves and allow visitors to experience technology solutions first-hand.

“Our target audience has mainly been large enterprises, however, this event has a distinct customer and end-user focus, and we are confident it will bridge the gap between enterprise and the average man on the street,” says Matthew Blewett, Business Connexion COO.

The event takes place through five different zones:

  • Connexion Zone
This zone will host inspirational technology, new ideas, and new possibilities.
  • Demo and Launch Zone
This zone will be an awe-inspiring staging venue for launches and demonstrations of products, services and solutions.
  • Experience Zone
This zone will host the experience of the future in collaboration with leading technology brands, visionaries and thought leaders.
  • Conference Zone
This zone will host comprehensive plenary sessions with leading technology experts, speakers and thought leaders and will run parallel with the rest of the #MWOT Experience.
  • The Community Zone
This zone will consist of a number of technology organisations representing the:

    • Enterprise Community
    • Consumer Community
    • Public Sector Community
    • SMME Community
    • Rising African Stars Community (a special zone that will host 10 sponsored developmental technology companies)
The MWOT Expo and conference takes place from 16th to 18th October.
