City of Joburg looking for youths to join startup incubator boot camp

The City of Joburg, together with Microsoft, is looking for 40 young people running tech startups to join its Softstart BTI Incubator boot camp programme.

Softstart BTI offers startup owners a work space, the use of shared office services access to specialized equipment, management assistance, access to finance, marketing and networking support. The incubator is sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) Technology Programme (STP).

The Softstart BTI ICT Boot Camp will be hosted from the 22nd to the 24th August and/or the 27th to the 28th of August 2014.

To qualifying for Softstart BTI your startup should:

  • Fall under software development or consulting

  • Be less than 5 years old, or have a turnover of less than R5 million

  • Be privately owned
