Sorry feline fanatics, but according to new research by Euromonitor, dogs are more popular in South Africa, outnumbering their feline counterparts by nearly four times.

According to a map published on The Washington Post online, there are over 9.1 million dogs and 2.4 million cats globally. Euromintor researched 54 countries around the world and around 26 countries recorded more dogs than cats.
