The Witcher 3 sure looks pretty

Developer CD Projekt Red released a video yesterday of The Witcher 3, explaining a bit about the scope of the world and showing off just how jaw-droppingly gorgeous the game looks.

It’s actually a developer diary, with some of the folks who have worked on the game talking viewers through some of the world’s core concepts, like how monsters are actually a part of the game’s environment, and aren’t just there to pose a threat to Geralt, the titular Witcher.

They’re also sure to tell people that the world of The Witcher 3 is “35 times bigger than that of The Witcher 2”, with tons of diversity in terms of landscapes, settlements and people. You’ll also get to see some of the mythical “Wild Hunt” around which the game centres.

Good luck balancing listening with drooling over some of the most amazing graphics yet seen in a video game.

The Witcher 3 is out on the 24th of February, 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and by the looks of it you’re probably going to want to upgrade your PC to see it in its full glory. Time to start saving, then. If you’d like to preorder it for PC, you can get it DRM-free at GOG.com for $50.99.

The lucky guys over at PC Gamer got to see CD Projeckt Red’s Gamescom demo of Witcher 3 yesterday, which they’ve written about here. Definitely worth a read.
