South Africa is seeing a rise in innovative solutions for the local education sector with the emergence of startups focused on helping to develop the quality of learning in the country.

Startup Weekend Cape Town is hosting an education-focused Startup Weekend EDU Cape Town to help foster more of these unique solutions.

Startup Weekend EDU Cape Town works the same way as the normal Startup Weekend programme – it’s held over three days, participants volunteer to present one-minute pitches, pitches will be validated and the most viable concepts will be selected. Thereafter, participants will group themselves into small teams that will work on developing and finalising chosen concepts.

Speakers and community leaders have been lined up to address everyone at Startup Weekend EDU Cape Town, and mentors and coaches will be there to help the teams with their concepts and answer any questions they may have.

The winning teams will walk away with resources to help launch their company.

Startup Weekend EDU Cape Town takes place from the 5th to 7th September at The Stables in Cape Town, and proceedings begin at 6:30PM.
