Nine, locally-developed apps have been announced as finalists in the Mobile Web Africa AppCircus developers’ competition.
AppCircus brings together developers and gives them the opportunity to pitch their app live on stage in front of a jury of top experts at Mobile Web Africa.
The finalists are:
- Theuno de Bruin – Gautrain Buddy
- Amit Ramdath – Impress Me
- Craig Lubbe – bidorbuy
- Martin Ras – MyBelongings
- Mauro Da Silva – Wildlife Tracker
- Amgad Morgan – Hope
- Danele van der Merwe – PriceCheck MTN
- LeRoy Gumede – CVME
- Kingsley Abrokwah – ChillaxApp
These finalists will go on to compete for the grand prize of a trip to Mobile World Conference 2015 in Barcelona, and a three day visitor pass to get inside the tradeshow, as well the chance to pitch at the Mobile Premier Awards which takes place during the conference.
The AppCircus take place on 11th September, during Mobile Web Africa’s networking lunch. We’ll let you know who the winner is after that.
