Ah, the internet and unscrupulous digital entrepreneurs never cease to amaze the technology-conscious. If you are a fan of Irish boyband rockers U2, then you have by now no doubt heard that you will be able to download the group’s new album ‘Songs of Innocence’ free through Apple’s iTunes.
Well, it seems as though there are some people out there who are trying to dupe U2-hungry fans into clicking on links that will take you to the nether regions of the internet – which is always a bad thing.
The album can be accessed on iTune here, but there shouldn’t actually be any reason why you shouldn’t have it already waiting for you in your favourite music player. All you have to do to access, download and listen to the tracks is open iTunes, sign into your account, click on the ‘Purchased’ tab, and the tracks should be right there for your enjoyment.
To all of my fellow U2 fans: on the iTunes homepage, click on “purchased” under quick links, and you can download their new album for free!

But while there is a legitimate threat that you might end up downloading a virus if you click on links that aren’t official, it seems as though some people couldn’t resist the urge to poke fun at the multi-million album selling band.
WARNING : Whatever you do, DO NOT follow links to the free download of new U2 album It may lead you to a free download of the new U2 album
