Wireless electric buses and smartphone eye doctors: 4 part MWOT TV series kicks off tomorrow

Ever wanted a 3D print of your own head, or wondered exactly how it is that smartphones are powering a revolution in healthcare across Africa? Maybe you want to know a bit more about the “internet of things”, or want to see electric buses that are charged wirelessly by an invisible power grid embedded into the road?

If so, you’re in luck. Up and coming tech expo My World of Tomorrow has teamed up with CNBC Africa to put together a four-part miniseries of shows all about the kinds of weird and wonderful breakthroughs which – believe it or not – are all already in use around the world. (Yes, that includes the buses.)

Presented by Sizwe Mngomezulu, it’s a whistle stop tour of tech with a panel of South African experts discussing how things are going to be changing here soon – and it kicks off tomorrow night (30th September). Here’s a teaser of the TV show, and don’t forget that the real-life expo kicks off in Sandton City on 16th October.

htxt.africa is an official media partner of the MWOT show.
