Inspiration and innovation for female techies at the fourth Wired Women Conference

For the past four years, members of the local tech sphere have been gathering at the Wired Women Conference to discuss key issues driving women in technology.

According to Quality Life, the company behind Wired Women, the event is ideal if you are a techie, geek, social entrepreneur, marketer, innovator, entrepreneur and start-up founder or business leader committed to developing talent.

This year, the focus of Wired Women will again be on how females with technical, entrepreneurial and leadership abilities can seize the opportunities available to them.

Some of the themes and topics that will be on the agenda include:

  • How to create a culture of innovation within your organisation
  • Bridging the digital divide
  • Advice for startups on how to sharpen your vision and perfect your pitch
  • Leadership in a digital world – how best to lead in a time of connectivity and complexity
  • The most important technology drivers in business right now
  • Women in tech – how to mentor for more diversity in teams

The JSCE’s Professor Barry Dwolatzky, managing director of Thoughtworks Africa Enyonam KumahorEthel Cofie, Makgola Makololo from the Department of Public Enterprises and Women in Tech ZA’s Samantha Perry are some of the speakers lined up to deliver keynote address and panel discussions at the conference, with more speakers to be added in the coming weeks.
