Ten powerful women in gaming you should know

Did you know that Kirsten Duvall is one of the team members behind popular videogames like Halo 3, Fable 2 and Age of Empires III? She, along with many other inspriational women, have contributed a lot to the US gaming industry over the years.

Fortune recently rounded up a list of 10 powerful women in gaming, recognising them for their work that has spun decades.

Tracy Fullerton

Director at University of Southern California Games Innovation Lab

Fullerton’s achievements include being designer for the game and art project with artist Bill Viola on The Night Journey and author of Game Design Workshop. She is currently working on developing Collegeology, a suite of games to help school kids strategise their paths to college.

Chelsea Howe

Howe has worked as a game designer for big names such as Zynga and TinyCo. She is currently working for EA Mobile as their creative director, she also teaches up and coming game developers at the California College of the Arts.

Pauline Jacquey

Managing director, Ubisoft Reflections

Since arriving at Ubisoft in 1997, Jacquey has been responsible for helping produce Rayman 2 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

Blanca Juti

Chief marketing officer, Rovio Entertainment

Angry Birds owes part of its huge success to Juti, who worked the branding strategy of the world’s most downloaded game in history. Juti also oversees the company’s market research, marketing, and communication activities.
