Shoppers visiting the Maponya Mall in Soweto will now have access to free internet as Absa has just extended its free WiFi service to its Maponya branch.
You’ll be able to use the WiFi on your phone, tablet or PC within a two meter radius of the branch, with usage limited to 100MB.
“Our aim is to use technology not only to extend the reach of financial services across all communities but also to provide a mobile banking platform that allows our customers to access us in the channel most convenient to them,” ssaid Absa’s provincial executive of Retail Banking in Gauteng, Kudzi Samushonga.
The Sandton Mall, Hyde Park, Alberton, Edenvale, Balfourpark and Southgate Mall branches also free WiFi, with several new branches set to offer the service in the coming months.
