FNB’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pricing

FNB’s Smart Device device finance is becoming one of South Africa’s favourite ways of making awfully desired technology affordable to the masses. And the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are not different.

As part of the iStore announcement last night, the pricing for FNB’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus deals have been made public. And they’re not bad at all. An iPhone 6 will cost you anywhere between R419 and R529 per month (depending on storage capacity), while the iPhone 6 Plus will set you back anywhere between R459 and R589 per month (depending on storage capacity).

Check out the bulleted list for more detail.

  • iPhone 6 16GB – R419 per month;
  • iPhone 6 64 GB – R459 per month;
  • iPhone 6 128GB – R529 per month;
  • iPhone 6 Plus 16GB – R459 per month;
  • iPhone 6 Plus 64GB – R529 per month; and
  • iPhone 6 Plus 128GB – R589 per month.

(All of these are finance deals only, i.e. they don’t come with any airtime, SMS or data)

By comparison to the cash prices, how do FNB’s deals stack up? Not too badly. Anywhere between R17 and R157 more over a 24 month period. It’s definitely worth considering.

  • iPhone 6 16GB – R9 899 cash versus R10 056 over 24 months;
  • iPhone 6 64 GB – R10 999 cash versus R11 016 over 24 months;
  • iPhone 6 128GB – R12 599 cash versus R12 696 over 24 months;
  • iPhone 6 Plus 16GB – R10 999 cash versus R11 016 over 24 months;
  • iPhone 6 Plus 64GB – R12 599 cash versus R12 696 over 24 months; and
  • iPhone 6 Plus 128GB – R13 999cash versus R14 136 over 24 months.

While the deals have been made public, at the time of publishing, the FNB website had not yet been updated with the deals. In the meantime however, you could visit an iStore to secure your phone on one of these finance options.
