EA Access subscribers can play Dragon Age: Inquisition 5 days early

Should you subscribe to Electronic Arts’ “EA Access” programme for the Xbox One, the service’s news page says you’ll get to play Dragon Age: Inquisition a whole five days before its official launch on the 21st of November. That’s a pretty good benefit for your R55-a-month fee.

In fact, it’s so good it has a few of us here at the office considering signing up. Charlie already has; I haven’t because I own so many EA games already that it makes no sense, but the prospect of playing DA:I early has me seriously thinking about it.

What you get is a six-hour trial that gives you full access to everything it offers, just enough time to create your character, assemble your Inquisition and take part in the game’s tactical battles, both solo and co-operatively with other players. Sounds pretty good to me.

As a further bonus, should you decide you want the game as a result of your time with the trial, you can buy it for a 10% discount. Once bought, you’ll be able to pick up right from where you left off.

This is the sort of thing EA promised would be a part of EA Access when it launched earlier this year, and it’s brilliant to see them making good on their promise. Especially for such a huge blockbuster of a game like Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Cynical me thinks it’s nothing more than advertising, but then this is advertising I can definitely get behind, so bring it on.

Speaking of, here’s a trailer showing off the game’s “Choice and Consequences” design to get you (even more) amped for it:
