There are 250 000 copies of turn-based strategy game Age of Wonders up for grabs during GOG.com‘s Winter Sale, which Gamespot says will kick off later today.

They will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so keep an eye on the GOG.com website so you can claim yours.

It’s not going to be a long sale, however – Gamespot says it will be on for just 48 hours, with 30 flash deals every hour and various bundles on offer.

If, for some reason, you haven’t yet grabbed either of the Witcher games, they’ll be available for an 85% discount over the sale, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series will be 75% off and you’ll be able to nab Wasteland 2 for 33% off its list price of $39.99.

Kudos to GOG for their commitment to sales – their “Fall” sale only just wrapped up last week, and already they’re on to Christmas. I do love the holiday season.

Deon got his first taste of PC gaming at the tender age of 11 when his father bought an 8088 XT, ostensibly to "help him with his homework". Instead, it introduced him to Leisure Suit Larry, King Graham, Sonny Bonds and many more, and Deon has been a PC gamer and hardware enthusiast ever since. He landed his first professional writing gig in 2006 at a prestigious local PC magazine, a very happy happenstance as he got to write for a living about things he loves - tech, PCs, gaming, and everything in between. He's been writing about it all ever since, and loves every minute of it.
