Everybody knew that Apple’s new iPhone would be really popular, but what nobody expected was that pre-orders for the iPhone 6 would be the highest ever. Apple announced at the time that a record four million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus phones had been placed in the first 24 hours, which it claims to be the biggest advancements in iPhone history. The company had in fact received so many pre-order that it is not sure if it would be able to fulfil them all on release day.

Towards the end of the month, South Africans could finally get their hands on an xbox One console – almost a year after it released in the US. At launch, the console that doesn’t include Kinect retailed for R6 299, while the full gamut would have set you back around R7 999. For the new console, Microsoft has made an even better Kinect sensor that responds more often than it doesn’t to your body movements and voice commands.
