Intel and She Leads Africa to host free tech workshops in Joburg

She Leads Africa, a social enterprise dedicated to unlocking the potential of female entrepreneurs, had a very successful 2014 with the launch of its pitch competition. This year the organisation is getting right back into gear starting with workshops to be held in cities across the African continent.

She Leads Africa has partnered with Intel to host three, free workshops in Nairobi, Johannesburg and Lagos for young female tech entrepreneurs, to help them upgrade their IT knowledge and build a strong and successful business.

Each workshop will consist of two sessions:

  • Intel will lead the first session and will show attendees how technology can be used to solve community problems. There will also be working session on building your MVP (minimum viable product) and getting your product ready for the public.
  • She Leads Africa will take over the second session and will teach attendees how to get their product/service into the hands of consumers.  Attendees will go through real case studies to make sure that the session is practical and not just theoretical.

You’ll also learn about the Lean Start Up model and how to use Intel architecture in your business.

If you are interested in attending any of the workshops, you can fill out and submit the application form online.

The first workshop will be held in Nariobi on 24th January, Johannesburg and Lagos will follow suit with the dates and venues for the two cities to be announced on the She Leads Africa Twitter and Facebook pages.
