Vodacom launches free-to-use learning platform for high school

The school year kicks off next week for learners across the country and to help them make the best of their academics in 2015, Vodacom has teamed up with the Department of Basic Education to launch a free-to-use eschool platform containing lessons and assignments from the national curriculum.

Vodacom e-school is hosted on the Vodacom website and gives learners in grades 10, 11 and matric access to material in maths, maths literacy, science, english, life sciences and accounting from a PC, smartphone or tablet.

Learners can complete daily homework questions, revise some of the work they may have done in previous lessons at their school, browse past exam papers, get tips and advice to help them improve their marks, test their knowledge with assignments, download subject material and watch content-related videos.

And as an added  bonus, learners will also be rewarded Vodacom SMS and data bundles as they continue using Vodacom e-school.

The service is only free for Vodacom users (or those who have parents or relatives that use the telco) and standard data rates apply for all other mobile networks.

Vodacom said the platform will include content for grades eight and nine in the next few weeks.
