Word comes from Cape Town’s KAT-O and Curiousity Campus of an interesting event tonight (which there’s still time to sign up for. It’s called Modern Alchemists, and is a get together for all creative types with an interest in making, coding, electronics, music and games. It’s looking like a busy night at Miao in Green Point, and you can register to attend via Facebook.

Full details straight from the makers’ mouth below:

Anyone that is into coding, gaming, electronics, music, making, etc meets every Wednesday at Miao in Cape Town to meet like minded people, learn shit, make shit, watch, ask for advice or just drink/eat ad do nothing.

This place is fairly big so you can sit on one side and code quietly, or sit at a table and talk about scifi and shit, game at another table, do electronics and hacking at another table and there is a projector where we can screen some stuff.

Our aim is to bring together all maker communities e.g. ArduinoCapeTown, RailsBridge, Ableton, Max/MSP, etc into one physical space to make and create!!

We want to unite a whole bunch of groups onto one platform being the Modern Alchemists so please join this page to make everyone’s lives easier.
