TechWomen and Silicon Cape to host networking event in CT

Silicon Cape and TechWomen – along with the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs mentorship programme for women in tech from Africa and the Middle-East – is inviting you to join an upcoming networking event in Cape Town later this month.

Anyone with an interest in promoting the participation of women in STEM can attend the event where they’ll “hear first-hand how organisations in Silicon Cape are developing a pipeline of women tech leaders of the future,” Silicon Cape says.

Speakers for the event include, among others:

  • TechWomen program director, Arezoo Miot
  • Vice president of engineering, Twitter, Nandini Ramani
  • General manager of Special Projects at the Technology Innovation Agency, Dr Magaret Mkhosi
  • Deputy minister of the Department of Telecommunication and Postal Services, Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize

A delegation of 21 female TechWomen mentors from Silicon Valley and leaders from various African countries will also be at the event.

The TechWomen networking event takes place on 29th January at Inner City Cartel Ideas co-working space in Cape Town. Get your free tickets from Quicket. (Space is limited so booking is essential.)
