Stage 1 Loadshedding tonight happening from 5pm to 10pm

Just as you all get home from work and gamers rush to their consoles or PCs to fire up the Battlefield: Hardline beta that went live today, Eskom is going to rain on your collective parades with Stage 1 loadshedding that’s set to kick in at 5pm and last through to 10pm. Just what everyone needs after a hard day’s work.

Here’s what our lovely power utility tweeted a few minutes ago:

#PowerAlert: The power system remains constrained and stage 1 #loadshedding will be implemented from 17h00 to 22h00 tonight.

So prepare for the possibility of an evening of takeout (from a fast food joint far away from your usual) and some quality time spent with your family in the dark.
