Meet the dual SIM Infinity H6 smartphone from Hisense

Last night Hisense South Africa unveiled two new devices that will be launched early next month. The Chinese firm may not have a very strong presence in South Africa when it comes to mobile devices, but it hopes that its new 8 inch tablet and 5 inch phone will change that.

On the inside, the new Infinity H6 smartphone has a Snapdragon quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 1G RAM and 16G ROM. It runs on Android 4.4 Kikat, has a Dolby Digital Sound engine, and for those with more than one SIM card, it is dual SIM capable.

The H6 has a 5Mp front camera and a 5 P aspherical lens for the 8MP back camera.

“We’re pleased to offer products boasting the same technology as our competitors, yet at a more affordable price. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for the average South African, by granting them access to the very best technology available,” said Hisense general manager Youbo Li during the media briefing.

Priced at R3 500, the H6 is p has a 5 P aspherical lens for the 8MP back camera.

When it comes to Hisense’s new tablet for the South African market, the Sero 8 Pro is an 8 inch model that measures just 6.35mm thick.

The Sero 8 has a 1.6GHz Cortex A9 quad-core processor.
Coming in at a price of R3 000, it has a 1.6GHz Cortex A9 quad-core processor, 1GB DDR2 of system memory, 16GB onboard storage memory and has a battery that can last up to 7 hours on a full charge.

“Our goal is to bring the very best value mobile device to the South African market. We’re proud to offer consumers the same technology as our nearest competitors, at a far more attractive price. We believe that, by making technology accessible to all South Africans, we can truly improve the quality of life for all,” Li explained.
