Advanced Warfare discounted, multiplayer free this weekend

If for some reason you’ve not yet bought Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on PC, now’s a pretty good time to do it – the game is 34% off on Steam this weekend and you can try its multiplayer entirely for free until Sunday night. That’s a good way to get some hands-on time with the exoskeleton-powered action before saying yes.

I played it last year and quite enjoyed its futuristic combat tech, going so far as to say “Advanced Warfare has it all: great single-player campaign, fast-paced multiplayer with enough innovation to keep things feeling fresh and excellent co-op multiplayer…”, and I stand by those words.

Some may have held off because they didn’t feel it was worth full price, but I’m pretty sure even those people will agree it’s worth R460. Now if only it wasn’t close enough to payday that a lot of us are in that awkward “more month at the end of my money” period.

Should you want the core game and the Season Pass that will give you all of the game’s inevitable map packs and extras, the Digital Deluxe Edition which includes both can be had for 25% off its full price. Expect to pay R883 rather than the usual R1 163.34.

The sale ends at 8pm on Monday evening, while free multiplayer access will end at 11pm on Sunday night.
