[Updated] Next Tales from the Borderlands episode coming next week

Update: Green Man Gaming is running a special on Tales from the Borderlands for PC, selling it at $21.24 instead of $24.99, and if you take advantage of the site’s additional 23% discount, you can pay just $16.36 for all five episodes. That’s R198.22 at today’s exchange rate, which works out to less than R40 per episode. Win!

If you had the good sense to buy the first episode of Tales of the Borderlands back in November, you’re probably chomping at the bit for the second episode.

Well, you’re in luck for your wait is almost over. TellTale Games announced over the weekend at PAX East that Episode 2 – Atlas Mugged will be out next week. Thanks, Gamespot. No actual date was made known, just that it will be out during the week of March 17.

The first episode, Zer0 Sum, did very well for TellTale and Gearbox (who co-developed the title as it’s based on a Gearbox property), and as it stands today it is maintaining an 84 Metacritic score and an 8.3 average user score.

The game’s blend of Borderlands setting, genuinely funny dialogue and some stellar action sequences appear to be winning audiences over, making its five-episode run a very attractive prospect. Also, in case you’re a sucker for easy Gamerscore, every episode offers 200GS regardless of what you choose, making this and other TellTale games great to own on the Xbox.

At the very least they are a way to add more 1000-pointers to your game library, which is a pretty good deal for just R300 ($24.99) for all five episodes.

Gearbox also took the opportunity to announce the fourth and final add-on for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, called Claptastic Voyage.

In all, a good day for Borderlands fans.
