Eskom announced today that loadshedding will once again be implemented from 12:00 today. This comes after Eskom implemented loashedding at 16:00 yesterday afternoon.

Eskom explained in a seperate tweet that loadshedding “is implemented as a last resort to protect the power system. We will only load shed what is required.”

This comes after Eskom tweeted last night that “Any additional changes on the already vulnerable and constrained power system could lead to a change in the stage at short notice.” It also said that the “prognosis for today is high and is dependent on the performance of the power plant.”
