Twitter highlights what’s trending in new app update

Twitter has done a bit of reshuffling on its #Discover feature which lets you look up trends from home and across the world with the latest update to its apps.

The company has announced that it’s doing away with #Discover and Activity altogether and moving trends to the search page.

Searching for and understanding trends have also been made easier as descriptions on what a hashtag is about will appear under each one giving you a better understanding of it.

“The new trends experience may also include how many Tweets have been sent and whether a topic is trending up or down,” the firm said.

The new features are only available for English iOS and Android users in the US for now while the rest of the world will get access to “in the future”, according to the company.

Twitter said it’s experimenting with bringing similar features to its web client.
