[WATCH] SpaceX’s rocket launches in beautiful 4K

We love rockets, SpaceX and 4K, so what can be better than watching a SpaceX rocket blast off in gorgeous 4K video?

South African-born entrepreneur and galactic pioneer Elon Musk‘s space exploration company has just released a two-minute supercut of 4K footage of its Falcon 9 rocket launches. We highly recommend watching the video at its highest resolution of 2160p 4K, but if you have a bit of a slowing connection, 1440p or 1080p will still be perfect.

The video below makes use of probably all the video effects known to man, as it includes some slow-motion shots, different angles including some overhead ones and even some High-dynamic-range imaging (HDR) thrown into the mix.

Speaking of mixes, the only thing that sort of feels out of place is the thumping techno music in the background. It would have been better if the launches were set to more dramatic or even serene music – instead of having the music drown out the roaring rockets and mission control voice-overs.

But why are you still reading? Click on the play button and enjoy some of the most beautiful launch visuals ever compiled into one video.
