Eskom announced early this morning that Wednesday will be kicked off with Stage 2 loadshedding. Since Monday, the prognosis for the rest of the week looked kind of bleak, and Eskom did warn that things could go pear-shaped at any moment.

“As the power system is constrained and vulnerable any unexpected changes could lead to a change in the #load_shedding stage at short notice. #Eskom will continue to provide updates,” Eskom said in a statement on its Facebook page.
The announcement of Stage 2 loadshedding for Wednesday comes after loadshedding was terminated at 10pm last night. So, users can expect a lot more similar announcements in the coming days, as things starts to get colder.
