Transnet CEO, Brian Molefe, has just been announced as the new interim CEO of embattled power utility, Eskom.
The announcement was made this afternoon by Public Enterprises minister Lynne Brown at a briefing about Eskom’s leadership, which has been a thorn in the company’s side for some time now before and after the appoinment – and subsequent dismissal – of Tshediso Matona last month.
Molefe assumes his new position effective immediately, while a new Transnet CEO will be announced on Monday.
