Panasonic re-introduced themselves into the South African market this morning after being absent from our shores for some time, the Japanese technology giant is confident that it will be able to compete with already-established brands like Samsung, LG and Sony.

At the relaunch event, held in Johannesburg this morning, Panasonic showed off all the products that it will be selling in South Africa. Most of the items will be on store shelves very soon, but certain refrigerator and washing machine models will only be made available in October.

From the gallery below, it is clear that Panasonic really wants to make a huge push into the consumer market, as it will be bringing its entire line-up of products into the country.

“Panasonic is buoyant about its re-investment in South Africa at this time. This move is in line with a general increase in interest in the African continent,” it said in a media statement.
