Two new Lumia phones in development from Microsoft

Technology giant Microsoft has only released a handful of Microsoft-branded Lumia smartphones since it gobbled up the brand from Nokia, but it seems as if it is readying for another push into the smartphone market.

We got our hands on the Lumia 535 back in March, but according to industry sources Microsoft is working on two new phones – codenamed Cityman and Talkman.

According to Unleash The Phones, who have been correct with smartphone leaks in the past, the Cityman will feature a 5.7 inch QHD display, a Qualcomm octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot, 20 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front facing camera, and a 3300 mAh removable battery.

The Talkman is clearly cheaper phone of the two, as it will reportedly feature a 5.2 inch QHD display, a 6 core processor from Qualcomm, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot, 20 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front facing camera, and a 3000 mAh removable battery.

“In terms of software, Microsoft will also be announcing a new Windows 10 feature that will be similar to “Hand-off” on the iPhone/OSX where you’ll be able to get a call on your Windows Phone, but answer it on your Windows PC (and use headphones with a microphone to talk). Or start a call or send an SMS right from your PC itself, which uses your Windows Phone,” the publication wrote.

Since the pair of smartphones are in in code-name status, nothing official has been announced yet, but Microsoft is apparently aiming to make both devices slimmer than the Lumia 930.
