Great tech gift ideas for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day [This Sunday – Ed] is that one special day in the year where we can just thank our mothers for everything that they have done for us.

With the usual celebrations of motherhood and everything that goes with it, there is the obligatory gift-giving – and this is where we have your covered. Because you have thought about your mum already and bought her a present, haven’t you?

If not, we’ve scraped the internet to find you some of the coolest tech available for the prefect Mother’s Day gift. Of course, you’re too late to order online, so hopefully this will spark some ideas for when you’re rushing around the mall tomorrow.

iPad stand for cooking

Having an iPad is great, but if you have nowhere to out it while cooking, it becomes a bit of a messy experience. There are a number of great covers for iPads with built-in stand functionality, but we really this one from Just Mobile.

It is extremely simple to use and mom doesn’t have to fold, bend or manoeuvre flappy parts. Just put the iPad (or any tablet for that matter) on the stand, and it will be away from any kitchen mishaps.

Beaba Bib’expresso bottle warmer

There is no denying that being a mother is a tough job, and if you are new to the job it can be even harder. Feeding time is especially stressful as mothers can’t be distracted to prepare a meal, but Beaba designed a bottle warmer to combat this problem.

Tassel charging cable keychain

Every one, including mothers, make use of technology every day and until the day that scientists figure out a way to power them with air, the batteries will run flat. Carrying a mobile charger with a large capacity is one option, but what is better than a tasseled keychain with a charging cable on the inside? This specific model comes in two variants – MicroUSB or Lightning – for quick access to a charging cable.tassel-charging-cable-keychain-

Polaroid Zip Instant Mobile Printer

The camera on a smartphone was recently ranked as one of the most important features on a mobile device, and without it mother won’t be able to snap pictures of their little ones’ random encounters with the world.

But sometimes you still want to use your smartphone, but you want to give grandma a copy – who only uses a feature phone. Well, Polaroid’s Zip Instant Mobile Printer comes to the rescue. It is as easy as the name implies: you take a picture with our smartphone, send it to the little printer via WiFi and it prints to image in less than a minute.

Sennheiser RS 170 Digital Wireless Headphones

We are sure that mothers love their children with all their heart, but sometimes mom just needs to get away for a quiet break. If a tropical island or a shopping spree in the city is on-hand, a really good pair of noise-cancelling headphones can send the soul on a relaxing journey.

Sennheiser is a well-known brand in audio circles, and this particular pair has a range of up to 80m away from its base station. Without going it to technical terms of the headphones, they are good enough to transport mom to an audio wonderland. In other word, they are pretty good.

And as an added bonus…

Dolmio Pepper Hacker

Not available to the public yet, Dolmio has decided to give mothers the power to turn electronic gadgets on or off in the house. How often has the family gathered around the dinner table, only for people to whip out their phones and start fiddling?

Well, with a turn of the Pepper Hacker’s top, it switches off electrical products that are connected to a main power hub as well as smartphone that have the AirWatch app installed.
