Fallout 4 confirmed, teaser shows giant post-apocalyptic airships

Late last night a countdown clock appeared on Bethesda’s Fallout website.

After seven years wandering the wastelands, searching, Fallout 4 has finally, officially been announced.

In a three minute YouTube teaser, which was apparently created in-game, we are taken through a scene spanning both before, during and after the nuclear bombings which created the irradiated world you try to survive in the Fallout series.

And happily, it looks like it’s not too far off from our list of “Things we’d like to see in Fallout 4“.

“We know what this game means to everyone,” said Game Director, Todd Howard, “The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”

And that sharing will take place on June 14th at Bethesda’s E3 showcase, at 7 PM PST (4 AM in South Africa) and you can catch it from your very own bunker on YouTube or Twitch.

Fallout 4 is being released on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

I would write more but I seem to be losing consciousness, I may need a stimpack.

Update: The landmarks in the teaser seem to show that Fallout 4 will take place (or at least have some sections set in) the American city of of Boston.  This is following Fallout 3 which took place in Washington D.C (known as the Capital Wasteland) and Fallout: New Vegas in, you guessed it, Las Vegas and the Mojave desert.
