TEDxCapeTown will be celebrating Youth Day this year with the Khayelitsha community during the TEDxCT Salon event and tickets are already on sale.
TEDxCT Salon is being at the Bandwidth Barn’s Khayelitsha branch. The events, talks and workships are primarily aimed the under 18s, although adults, parents and TEDxCapeTown community members are welcome to attend.
“In keeping with the overall theme for TEDxCapeTown this year ‘Access: Energy, Education and Elephants’, TEDXCT Salon will be navigating the complex concept of access itself. We hope that this event will get minds, young and old thinking about how in their daily lives they can increase access to resources kids need to thrive,” TEDxCape Town says.
Ideas around how to support the development of children in South Africa will be put under the spotlight for discussion.
Tickets are only R25 for all under 18s plus an extra entry R5 fee, over 18s can get theirs for R50 plus the entry fee. You can buy yours from Quicket. Lunch and snacks will be served during the event.
