In what was something to be expected, Microsoft revealed a new version of the hugely popular Gears of War franchise. The Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a remastered version of the original Gears of War for the Xbox One, and will also be running at 60 frames per second.

Ultimate Edition launches on August 25th, but a free public beta is starting today.

But the biggest news of the evening was the announcement of Gears of War 4 (officially called Gears 4). No details have been given in terms of release date. In actual fact, no other details were revealed except for the gameplay footage below.

Needless to say, we are stupidly excited about it.
