In a huge stick to Sony, Xbox head Phil Spencer announced today during Microsoft’s E3 conference that the Xbox One will (for Preview program members) be made backwards compatible with Xbox360 games.
The functionality will be made available to everybody else “this holiday.”
Not explaining an awful lot, Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra said that all that gamers have to do is pop in the Xbox360 disc into the One, download a patch if needed, and enjoy the game. It is not known exactly which titles will be backwards compatible, but so far it is over 100.

Something that you can also look forward to, is the fact that you will be able to play online multiplayer as well.
