Nominate your favourite tech entrepreneur for #AfricaTech50

African tech entrepreneurs and businesses are emerging as a force to be reckoned with worldwide and, in a bid to recognise these trailblazers, NewGenAngels is calling for nominations for Africa’s top 50 tech entrepreneurs (#AfricaTech50).

NewGenAngels is an online community of global investors who are interested in or are currently focusing on the African startup sector. The community now wants to put together a showcase of the best of what the continent has to offer. This #AfricaTech50 will also act as a guide that will help direct potential investors.

Nominations for the #AfricaTech50 can be made on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #AfricaTech50. Nominees must be African nationals or permanent residents in any African country running a tech-related business as an active CEO, founder or co-founder. Nominations are also open for a special category for the top 10 young entrepreneurs under 30.

Finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges who will make selections according to an entrepreneur’s impact, their business’ innovation and whether they have global appeal or potential to grow into a global brand.

“The goal is to create a perfect blend of high growth startups and fast growing Scaleups and a definitive guide to investors and policy makers for one of the world’s most fascinating ecosystem,” NewGenAngels said in a post on Medium.
