Gmail Undo Send will let you retract regrettable emails

If you’ve ever had the embarrassing experience of sending an email to the wrong person, then you’ll be happy to know that Gmail has launched an “unsend” button.

Undo Send, which was previously only accessible on Gmail Labs, lets you retract any sent email with just one click, but you have to be very quick about it because you can only do so within 30 seconds of pressing the send button.

Undo Send is not yet available in all countries, including South Africa, but Google says all users should be able to access it in the next two weeks.

Once it does become available, if you’re using Gmail Labs, the feature will automatically be turned on in your account, but if you’re using the normal version, you’ll have to turn it on manually by heading over to settings where you’ll find it under the ‘General’ tab.
