Hello Pretty launches a mobile version of its store

From vintage, to abstract, funky and organic, Hello Pretty showcases products created by South African designers and creatives. It’s a South African version of the hugely-popular Etsy website, and we love it to bits – and it now has a new website.

Well, technically it has a new mobile store, but that is just as good.

“The redesign sees the new site as fully responsive, with a more powerful search engine and dozens of new categories to cater for the 19 000-plus currently listed products,” the company said in a statement.

Why are we telling you about them? Well, that is because we ranked Hello Pretty as one of the five best sites to buy and sell designer local goods.

“With our mobile traffic crossing the fifty percent mark of our overall traffic, it became clear that we had to refine the site’s usability to target users looking to shop, browse, and share from those devices,” said head of strategy and social, Lee Geldenhuys.

Sellers, who make use of Hello Pretty’s functionality by embedding a custom store front into their website, can also no add sub-categories for their goods. So you have all of the pretty in one place and it’s all very easy to find.
