This Mandela Day, 67 entrepreneurs from the Khayelitsha township in Cape Town will spend the day building their own websites during the 67 Websites for a Mandela Day workshop event according to a press statement.
The day is the brainchild of small business website design startup, VIGO and tech incubator Bandwidth Barn, and is aimed at supporting early-stage entrepreneurs in the township and helping them to better market themselves and their businesses to a wider audience online.
As an added bonus, the entrepreneurs will build their websites for free on VIGO’s newly-launched premium designs, which ordinarily range from R1 750 to R2 660 each, and will receive further web support and insights into the value of creating an online presence for their businesses.
67 Websites for Mandela Day will be hosted at Bandwidth Barn Khayelitsha on Saturday, 18th July.
