Forget about every other story you’ve heard of displays by Super Mario Brother super fans because we think we may have found the ultimate one.
Norwegian gamer Kjetil Nordin crocheted a map blanket of Super Mario Brothers NES World 1 over a period of 800 hours over six and a half years.
Nordin became an internet hit after his friend, AlexKingshill posted these images on imgur and Reddit.
Of course, there’s always a fair share of naysayers who can’t just appreciate awesome creativity for what it is. Quite a handful of users pointed out minor mistakes in the map such as the fact that number of lives at the bottom should be four and not five and the “M” just beside the life count is not supposed to be red.
Mistakes or no mistakes, how many fans can say they’ve spent a cumulative amount of 33 full days crocheting an NES game map? Not many, we would think.
