[WATCH] The new trailer for Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs movie

Although it’s the second film out of the gate about Apple’s departed CEO, we have to confess we’re far more excited about watching the forthcoming Steve Jobs than we were about the prospect of the first Jobs film, starring Ashton Kutcher.

First off, Michael Fassbender’s wiry frame and wild-eyed glee recalls Steve Jobs far better than Kutcher’s puppy-like mug. Second it’s directed by Danny Boyle – you know, the bloke who helmed spiky flicks like 127 Hours,  Trainspotting, Sunshine and Shallow Grave. Third, it’s written by Aaron Sorkin, who not only wrote nearly every episode of the first four seasons of The West Wing, he also penned the screenplay for arguably the best film about the drama and skulduggery in the tech industry – The Social Network.

If you want to know why we’re excited then feast your eyes on the trailer below. It’s not the first glimpse we’ve had of the Steve Jobs film, sure, but unlike the teaser released in May, it shows off the cast’s acting chops and more of Sorkin’s  snappy dialogue.

The trailer also shows off the fourth reason to see this film: Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak. In fact, the opening bit of dialogue in that trailer asks a question that we’d always had in the back of our minds about Jobs and it sounds positively delicious coming out of Woz’s… er, Rogen’s mouth.
