There are more hours of darkness ahead for some citizens in South Africans as Eskom has just announced it will implement loadshedding from 5pm to 10pm today.
This announcement comes after loadshedding returned last week after a good nine days without any power outages (which the national power utility was very proud to point out).
Eskom will implement stage 1 load shedding from 17:00 today, which is likely to continue until 22:00 this evening.

Due to increased electricity demand and a shortage of generation capacity resulting from technical faults at some of our power station units

As always, you can always see when loadshedding will hit your area using the Eskom schedule or any of these five apps.
Since no one is really a fan of loadshedding, we at HTXT want to make the experience of hearing about it a little more palatable, so here’s a video of some cats demanding attention from their owners.
Aren’t they adorable?
