Check out this awesome “Jedi with a GoPro” movie

YouTuber Bill Parker has made a brilliant little Star Wars fan movie showing a Jedi running around a desert and fighting off Empire forces, all filmed from a first-person perspective as if the unnamed Jedi has a GoPro strapped to his noggin.

And it’s pretty well done, too, far better than pretty much all three of the prequel movies when it comes to coherent storytelling and enjoyable characters; the total absence of Jar Jar Binks is just a bonus.

Parker’s movie shows a Jedi running through a desert, blocking blaster fire and decimating stormtroopers, AT-ATs, at least one TIE Fighter and a speeder with his light sabre and Force powers.

It’s not even three minutes long, but it’s well worth watching, especially the end as Parker shows off his animating chops with a pretty cool flyby by some rather well-known Star Wars shapes. Check it out:

Although it must be said, the aggression with which the unnamed Jedi attacks that poor TIE Fighter pilot with Force Grip, a Dark Side power, seems to hint that he may not be quite as aligned with the Light Side of the Force as that blue lightsabre suggests he is. Ooh, the intrigue.

Anyway, we got a kick out of this and thought you might too. Enjoy!
